Trevor Wolfe, CPA, CMA

Trevor joined RBLLP as Tax Manager in September 2015. From January 2012 to June 2015 he was the Manager of Tax Services for a medium size accounting practice with offices throughout Alberta. In this role he gained considerable experience delivering value added service to clients which included restructuring for estate, succession and merger/acquisition planning purposes. He was instrumental in building the tax practice infrastructure through the development of tax policy papers and compliance checklists which were used extensively by firm members. Trevor advised the partners on tax risks and opportunities for key clients and developed highly effective solutions which were implemented.

Trevor’s career has spanned 34 years with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), during which time he held senior technical and managerial positions within the Audit, Tax Avoidance and Appeals Divisions. Trevor has extensive experience leading and developing teams in all aspects of corporate taxation from family owned local businesses to public companies with multinational interests. He provided innovative leadership in the resolution of many complex tax issues by negotiating settlement agreements that were fair to all parties. Trevor was a member of the CRA national steering committees for Oil & Gas, Mining, and Telecommunications and was instrumental in the development of national audit issue checklists and audit policy for large corporations.
