SUKHI BRAR, CPA, CGA

Sukhi grew up in Alberta between Calgary and Edmonton. After attending Harry Ainlay High School, Sukhi enrolled at the University of Alberta and graduated with his BCOMM in 1999. Sukhi started his articling with KPMG a large national firm. After gaining audit and small business experience with KPMG he decided to focus on small and mid-size business.

Sukhi has a passion for small business and enjoys working with both new and experienced entrepreneurs. After articling with KPMG for a couple of years, Sukhi changed gears and finished his articling with McDonald Rutwind Chartered Accountants. In 2002, Sukhi and Carole Rutwind decided to partner up and move forward after the retirement of Neil McDonald.

Sukhi’s vision, attention to detail and commitment to quality is a key factor in the high level of client satisfaction along with the continued growth of the firm.

Sukhi has refined his tax knowledge by completing the In-depth Taxation course offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, this is Canada’s leading program for tax. Aside from his responsibilities at work, Sukhi is active in the community volunteering and sponsoring local charities and events. He has coached his children’s soccer and hockey teams for the past 5 years.
